I am wondering if anyone else experiences this. I have a week of
sleeping 4 hours a night - followed by a week of sleeping 15 hours a
day. Because of this, my psychiatrist is tapering me off of celexa. I
take a cocktail of Lamictal, abilify and celexa. I am diagnosed with
bipolar type 1 with psychotic features and rapid cycling. It seems
that the more dramatic symptoms are controlled but I still have these
fluctuations in energy. I am going to school right now and I am doing
well. But it is difficult to stay up with things when my sleep is
irregular like this. It is really frustrating. Does anyone have
suggestions as to how to cope?

You got to love the 20 hours days - just had 6 weeks of them.

I do not know what triggers the manic, periods, but have a good handle on
how to avoid the depression period.

8-10 hours of Sleep a night - always in bed before midnight, when I can not
sleep all night, I take Seroquel. Once my mood begins to drop I take
Effexor XR.

But for manic, I do not know how to control it, in fact, I am note sure if I
want to control it.

Best of luck
