Pure Fun Mania?

I don't know how much of my story I shared with you. I can't remember
due to my medicine.

I was initially diagosed with Major Depression and given
anti-depressants. Well, it shot me into mania. The mania was a "fun"
mania going on shopping sprees, staying up all night, etc.

Then I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. The manias I have had since
my disagnosis have all been dysphoric manias.

This doctor (another one) at the NAMI conference told us all of his
Bipolar patients experience some "bad" things during their manias. Like
aggitation or irritability.

Has anyone after diagnosis had pure "fun" manias or do they get the
manias the doctor described?

I have some mixed states and the fun ones too. Although the duration of
the fun ones don't last as long. The intensity is not there. I tend to
be on the hypomanic side and only recently have gotten real relief from
the lack of sleep. When I was 1st medicated the medication made me a
bit dead when it came to creativity and energy. This has all gotten

I have been diagnosed with bi-polar manice deprssion rapid cycling
mixed since 1999.
The only thing that i can see productive when the mania hits with me is
a clean house and organized. I have went on shopping sprees during
mania also, and stayed up for days. But in the end results I used my
bill oney for the shopping, and missed work when I came "down" off the
high of mania due to ebing exhausted.
I was irritable, aggistated, short fuse. I have since learned some real
good signs of when my brain shifts to high and what to do to control it
