I feel tired. The past two years have been
filled with two family deaths (which my husband
and I had to cope with and arrange for, both
of us not in great health), and then I had
a critical situation with bad/counterfeit
lithium, leading me to suicidal mania (pharmacy's
botch), then after fighting that and coming through,
I had a concusssion (accident), (2 months in bed) and just
recently, metabolic acidosis from missing a
rivotril, or lowering my lithium or both (1 month
of choking).

I was happy to get over everything, but with lack
of needed medical and personal support, it was harder.
I think we both need a long vacation.

I only now feel the fatigue - which is strange, after
6-8 months of real life horror, and family anguish.

I'm very tired -- it now feels like apathy, though
i would not call it depression. I am indebted to
lithium for that (dangerous as the drug is if not
monitored).

Thanks for letting me rant.

Hi Squiggles-

You have been through a lot in the last few years. I would suggest that some of
what you went through could whack out other systems in your body, thus causing
the extreme fatigue.

I have two suggestions, if you aren't already doing them.

1. take vitamin B-12 (and a good B-100 formula can't hurt)

2. (broken record here) get your thyroid checked (especially knowing that long
term use of lithium can lead to hypothyroid conditions).

Right,

vitamins
thyroid

vitamins
thyroid

vitamins
thyroid

I have started taking one a day Vit. a few days ago and I am also
now walking (as my dr. recommended). It was hard to walk when
I was sick for so long.

B-12s coming up, and the next app't a full blood test request.

Very sensible advice - thank you.
