I have been taking 5mgs of Zyprexa for about two months, and I'm
really worried about developing a heart disease or diabete. I know for
a fact that many people are dead as a result of taking Zyprexa. Please
advise.

Same answer here as in the other group. You can't find objective info
about medicine on websites or blogs run by personal injury lawyers or
anti medication groups.

In fact, posting false info about medicine,

This proposal was discussed on alt.config from May 9th, 2000 to May
15th, 2000.

I represent a team of members of alt.support.depression.manic and
soc.support.depression.manic. The ngs have dealt with trolls and spam
and misinformation in the past quite well. Recently there has been a
flood of trolls and people disseminating misinformation which
threatens the health and well being of the lives of the members of the
groups.

Thus, the time has come to create a moderated ng that would serve both
alt.support.depression.manic (ASDM) and soc.support.depression.manic
(SSDM). Support has always been available in the past, but in the past
several months it has been virtually impossible due to the constant
presence of disruptive forces bent on distracting the group from its
primary focus: support. The proliferation of foul language and
personal attacks has also driven a number of regular contributors from
asdm and ssdm from posting altogether. Thus, we are proposing a
moderated ng, alt.support.depression.manic.moderated.

I apologize for allowing this post. I did not read far enough to see the
message below.

Another bipolar newsgroup of any kind will never be approved, because there is
not enough traffic in the three groups to justify another group.

That being said, you are not allowed to create a new group with the same name of
an existing group. I have not checked alt.config or news.groups for your
proposal. If you have not already sent a proposal, I strongly suggest you do
not. It will save you a lot of grief.

No, you don't understand! :) That was what you wrote in the control
message sent to form asdmm.

Actually, if you take a look at alt.config, you will see that
absolutely no constructive dialogue of any kind takes place anymore
there. Apparently things have returned to the way they were when the
alt hierarchy was first started, which is as they should be....anyone
may send a control message to start their own group at any time
without question.

Actually proposing new groups in alt.config was never anything but a
non binding imitation of the formal group creation process for the
Big-8, and bringing up proposals for new alt groups in news.groups
is/was highly discouraged...news.groups has absolutely nothing to do
with alt. There was never any kind of requirement to justify the
creation of new alt groups at all. Discussing new group proposals in
alt.config only prevented certain individuals from sending out rmgroup
messages, which were ignored by virtually all news administrators
anyway.

It might be time to just take the mental health groups out of alt
entirely, perhaps by creating a new hierarchy for them, perhaps:

mentalhealth.group.name

or something like that. I'm still looking into that. You're welcome
too add your input to the effort.
